Pinckney's Treaty line, 1795
31°00′N
A former border with Spain still shapes the map: follow 31°N along Florida and Alabama.
In 1795, the United States and Spain agreed on 31°N as the boundary with Spanish West Florida. Part of today's Florida–Alabama border follows it, preserving a trace of Spain's North American territory.
