Most climate zones
≈33°29′N
From ice cap to hot desert: latitudes between 33°12′N and 33°58′N cross up to 21 Köppen–Geiger climate classes. No latitude crosses more.
Köppen–Geiger classes group places by temperature and rainfall. Read at its original resolution of about 1 km, the Beck et al. 1991–2020 map (version 2) gives 21 classes to 15 of the 90 lines between 33°12′N and 33°58′N, this one included. The rest cross 19 or 20, and no latitude crosses more. Even a two-pixel patch counts: ice-cap climate (EF) appears on this line in just two source cells near 91°07′E, about 1.5 km across.
- 21 of 30 classes
- 15-line tie between 33°12′N and 33°58′N, hence the ≈ on the face
- Köppen–Geiger 1991–2020, version 2 (Beck et al. 2023), about 1 km
- the median line with land crosses 10
